At the conclusion of my trainee period I was pleased to start work at VMI as a fitter/technician which gave me the opportunity to work towards and eventually achieve promotion to Assembly Foreman, my current position."

"I really appreciate the amount of independence I have in my job, as I am able to handle situations by myself such as discussing my work with engineers. In my opinion VMI offers extensive possibilities for both training and further education and I am presently involved in a management training scheme. I also have the chance to improve my professional skills through a series of training programmes including welding, hydraulics and pneumatics plus there is the valued opportunity to temporarily work abroad on certain projects."

"No two days at VMI are ever the same as you are always working with new products and techniques and changes and technical progress is occurring almost on a daily basis, which to me is satisfying challenging. 

At the same time the cooperation with various disciplines such as electrical assembly, general assembly, engineering and warehousing provides an additional dimension to my duties. The working conditions at VMI are excellent with good tools, the correct aids and a clean operating environment.

In my opinion, joining VMI has given me a wonderful opportunity to carry out interesting work with social colleagues and many possibilities to develop my talents, which is extremely important to me."
