De functie:
Als Fieldservice Engineer op de afdeling Support word je vaak al tijdens de engineersfase van projecten betrokken bij de totstandkoming van klantspecifieke bandenbouwmachines. Na plaatsing van de machines bij de klant ben je verantwoordelijk voor het verder productiegereed maken van de machines. Hierbij spelen niet alleen technische aspecten een rol, maar ben je als specialist het eerste aanspreekpunt ter plaatse. Het overdragen van technische kennis t.b.v. productie en onderhoud maakt ook deel uit van je functie. Naast je praktische werk bij de klant ben je voor VMI een belangrijke kennisdrager voor verdere verbetering van machineconcepten. Daarbij werk je nauw samen met projectleiders en engineers van de Support groep, die je ook op vaktechnisch gebied kunnen ondersteunen.

The function:
As a Fieldservice Engineer of the Support department, you will often participate in the development of customer specific tire building machines during the engineering phase of the projects. After commissioning the machines at the customers' site, you will be further responsible for making the machines ready for full production runs. This involves not only ensuring technical aspects of the machine are guaranteed, but also, as a specialist you are the first contact point on site. The communication of technical knowledge towards production, maintenance and service personnel is also part of your function. Besides the pratical aspects of the work, you will also be an important source of information for VMI to improve machine concepts further. For this purpose, you will work closely with Projectmanagers and Engineers of the Support group, who will also provide technical support as required.
